Below are the few predictions that might develop in 2018
1.Welcome back to Skeuomorphism
Skeuomorphism is the design concept of making items that resemble their real-world counterparts. Skeuomorphism has been used earlier but we are under the assumption that this trend might see light again in 2018.
Why we think Skeuomorphism will be back? Flat designs do not create the impact that skeuomorphism designs would, as the digital world is merging with physical, skeuomorphic would be great to give a good effect and prove fruitful for web design services.
2. Downfall of WordPress
The success of WordPress is evidently low as compared to the performance of a CMS. Mostly third party industries are using WordPress these days. With the rise of other site builders like Wix, Webydo, Squarespace, and so on, word press has seen some downfall already. Although a lot of people have already invested a lot in WordPress, it is our prediction that WordPress is going to face a downfall in 2018.
3. The rise of Augmented Reality (AR)
2017 has seen the rise of Virtual Reality (VR), although it is an amazing experience, it fails at one point — it only covers the extremes i.e. VR is all or nothing, you put on a headset or you don’t.

4. End of Online Advertising (again)
Online advertising is in trends right from the expansion of digital era. Also, viewers are ready to pay more for getting high-speed access to certain sites, as a consumer would shed more money he is unlikely to tolerate advertising anymore. Also, one simple option for telecom companies to deliver faster web is to cache pages without adverts.
5. Flamboyant, Responsive Lettering
The most preferred typographic choice of every tech entrepreneur — or at least the ones that have made billions — have been geometric sans-serif. As geometric sans-serif is plain, functional and inoffensive it had stayed in trends for long. But 2018 is anticipated to get tired of the plain font and rather prefer a new design like flamboyant.
6. Favouring Craft over Artificial Intelligence (AI)
Over the last 12 months, companies have started using Artificial Intelligence instead of human’s creativity to make designs. As AI is programmed and work calculative, no invention can be expected from them. Thus when it comes to creativity, we would always prefer craft over artificial intelligence (AI)
